The waiting area and departure gates in the bus terminal serve passengers with bus transportation to flights outside the Schengen area. The design of the passenger areas aimed at creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The interior is inspired by Finnish nature, in particular its unique archipelago. The maritime spirit is reflected in the abundant use of wood, and granite floors and wall-size photographs evoke the rugged rocky outcrops typical of the north. Blocks of wood and large natural stones add to the feel of the archipelago. Standard airport seats have been replaced with solid wood benches.
