Amanda is a historic commercial property in the heart of Helsinki. The older, neo-renaissance part of the property was built in 1884 and a taller extension added in 1977, joined by a spacious atrium. The interiors were heavily altered during the expansion.
The project involved renovating the historical facades and bringing the interiors up to date in terms of both functionality and appearance. The protected facades of the older building were restored in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Agency.
