The main idea of the Wuxi International Conference Center (WICC) is to conceive it as part of the whole district planning including the site of already completed Wuxi Grand Theatre (WGT). Therefore PES identified the main axis of WGT and extended it as the main thoroughfare of the WICC project. Hotels and apartments are flanking this axis as a pair of hugging arms and the small villas are distributed on the protected side of this main axis. The building creates a natural and symbiotic relationship with Wuxi Grand Theatre.
