The handsome office property at Lapinlahdenkatu 1ab, originally dating from 1907 and designed by Selim A. Lindqvist, was renovated by PES-Architects in 1995, adding a courtyard and connection across the block to Fredrikinkatu 42.

In the early 2020s, new renovation of the block included restoration of the Lapinlahdenkatu facade in a new color scheme in consultation with Helsinki City Museum.
